I replaced my factory tires with WWW ME 880. Gee golly damn it's almost like riding a new bike. Smoother cornering, smooth on the straights, good shock resistance, GREAT TRACTION in the rain and on fresh oil even. They almost feel "soft" at times, like they are 15lbs low on air, but they're not. For the price (about $350 for the set) You realy can't go wrong. The white walls are a pain to keep up and clean, but, they look so nice on her.

I've been using Kenda Kruz K673 tires for about 1 K miles now and can recommend them for use on an M50. They have slightly stiffer sidewalls, noted during installation, and a really deep rear tread at 10/32" (about half that on the front). Wet and dry traction seems better than the original IRCs AND the road feel is better too. I've seen people claim 12-13K miles, I hope to get that or better.
I'm using a 130/90-16 front and a 170/80-15 rear. Bought them from American Motorcycle Tire
for $117 a pair, delivered.

Go to the dealer and order the replacement tires for the C90T. The whitewalls don't extend all the way to the rim, which makes them ENTIRELY easier to keep clean. Also, they are an EXACT match sizewise for the oem older Intruder tires.

Just put the Avon Venom X on the front and it made a huge difference in the way the bike rides and handles. I would recommend the tire to anyone.

I ran Avon Venom X tires on my 2001 VS1400 when I replaced the stock Bridgestones. The difference in handling was immediately apparent. I managed 13,000 miles on them before I traded the bike & there was still a cpl thousand miles left in them.
I am running an ME880 rear on my Strom and like it with nothing untoward apparent in the 12,000 miles it's been on the bike. Lots of tread left yet (expect to get another 8000 miles).
I did replace the front ME880 with a Venom X due to a terrible headshake/decel wobble if you removed your hands from the bars. The ME880 front also "stepped" out on me on 3 different occassions. While I didn't have much confidence in the ME880 front tire I did manage to wear it to within 1/4" of the tires edges. Can't imagine how much I'll wear the front tire now that I have a tire I KNOW I can trust

I have an Avon Venom X on order in 140/90-15 for the rear because that's the size that was on there. I just bought the bike without an Owners' Manual. Is this the right size for a rear? Can a wider tire be placed on there without interferring with the fender?
TIA!

Avon Venom X is the "chit" for traction & handling..... Conti or Metz will probly beat on mileage, but who wants a truck tire on a cruiser?

i have been very satisfied with the metz 880s on my LC. the original b'stones rolled for 12k miles. the next two sets of metzelers delivered +14k miles each. +-7k on my current set. they're pricy (in my mind, anyways) at $440 out the door per set.

I put on the 170-80-15 Avon Venom-x on about 2 years ago. Shows little signs of wear and holds the road like a sports bike. They have a different contour which gives you more clearance if your bike is lowered like mine is. I bought mine through Motorcycle Accesseries for a little
over $100, but I'm sure the price has gone up. I have had Bridgstones and Metzelers and for me its no contest.

Replaced my stock Bridgestones last week with a set of Avon Venom Xs. The improvement is astounding. I have no problem whatsoever in ripping through the corners now. The ride is much smoother, 80mph feels like 60mph used to. Money well spent. Would recommend the Avons to anyone.

I replaced the Bridgestones with the Metzeler Marathon 880s late last summer and couldn't be happier. I've logged about 6000 miles on them since and they haven't shown much wear. They grip is great when leaning and the ride is very smooth. This will be my tire of choice for as long as they are manufactured.

I've replaced my stock Bridgestone tires with Metzeler Marathon ME 880's. These tires are very confidence inspiring at low speed and through the twisties at higher speeds. The Metzeler tire quality and tread design are 2nd to none. I do not notice road surface rain grooves or bridge steel gratings. These tires are a real pleasure to ride on.
